32 Weeks Update

February 1, 2014
32 week update! Sorry it has been forever since I posted anything. For a while I just felt like there was nothing new to talk about. I'll start with the good stuff, I can feel hiccups now! Maybe most would find that annoying but it's just the slightest little movement but is very regular and is faster than my hiccups would be. I feel her move a lot! Braxton hicks are fun to watch as my belly distorts itself with no pain. I am still sleeping all the way through the night which I here is very unusual at this point. I rarely ever get round ligament pain anymore but when I do, it's cuz I pushed myself too hard. Annoying stuff now. Heartburn... Any time, any where, any food. It even wakes me up in the night to where I'm starting to prop myself up more and more. I hate tying my shoes now and will probably just give up in a week. My wedding ring doesn't fit . Not only am I swollen but I feel swollen which I have never felt before now. I really have to put my feet up and not over use my hands. I'm also starting to see it in my face which kills me. My belly button is very flat and gets sore from baby pushing against it and is also have stretch marks galore... Just not on my belly. But that's about it for physical stuff. I am so excited to be only 8 weeks from my due date. I have got several things set up in the baby room and I can't wait to get it all finished! C'mon Addison! We are almost ready!

7 Months Pregnant and Moving

January 23, 2014
Dear people of Facebook, I need some help. I am so excited to announce that we have moved! Today the last remaining items will be moved into our newly renovated duplex located near Mountain Park Park in Lilburn, GA. That being said, I am 7 months pregnant, working part time, and going to school full time. My wonderful husband has a heavier load than I do. If anyone is available to help me unpack and organize my house, it would be extremely appreciated! The unpacking will start about 3:30 today and continue all day Friday and Saturday (my husband will be working). Please call, text, or message me if you are available to help and I will respond with my new address. Thanks so much to all the people who have helped to get us moved thus far!

Trouble Sleeping

January 19, 2014
Been up for over an hour now... Not because Addison kicked me but because someone knocked on a neighbor's door entirely too loudly at 4 am. Then I realized I was hungry but tried to ignore it. Around 4:45 I realized I couldn't ignore it, so I ate and now I'm not sleepy at all. This is lame.

Tamra West: I hate when that happens. I woke up yesterday about 430 hungry and then couldn't get back to sleep
Serenity Anderson: I was up too, but I don't know why?
Emily Rusch: Who was at the door?? Im sorry to say I can sympathize. My children are out to kill me this week. I've been up with one of them every day at that unholy hour.
Jelaire Womble: I have no idea what is like to be woken up and can't go back to sleep I can always go back to sleep don't worry addison will solve that problem for you
Emily Beth Rusch: We didn't check who it was since it wasn't our place.

Overwhelmed

January 16, 2014
Feeling very overwhelmed today. Trying to be a wife, student, employee, and mother (or at least future mother) all at once can be really hard sometimes. I really would like to just go to sleep so I can be done with this day faster but there is still homework to be done... I will say that the Lilburn RS activity was really wonderful tonight and I enjoyed what was taught as well as the company of the other sisters. It was a lovely distraction from real life for a couple hours...

Chelsea Johnston: Seriously! I was just thinking today that I have no idea how I was able to handle taking classes and working last semester while being pregnant! I have a hard enough time getting through work now a days. I think it's incredible that you're making it all work though! I hope things get a less overwhelming as you settle into the semester more... i'm praying for you!
Catherine Doerr: Love to you sista!

No Gestational Diabetes!

January 16, 2014
Yay for passing my 1 hour glucose test and not having gestational diabetes! Boo for finding out I'm now anemic. I will say, I would much rather take daily iron supplements than give myself shots though!

Victoria Vaught: I've had issues with anemia. I was on one for a while. The one I had was slow fe and it didn't leave the strange taste most iron pills leave.
Kacey Verrault: Can I only like half of this?
Brea Echard: It's normal to be anemic while pregnant tho, or after a menstrual cycle...your baby is using a lot of your blood!
Cat Martin: I have been anemic off and on all my life. Iron supplements are good but team them up with a great steak and leafy greens and you will feel full and healthy!
Emily Beth Rusch: Last time I had red meat, I got very sick in the night... maybe there was something wrong with my piece but no one else got sick from it so I think it was just my prego body rejecting. I'll try with the leafy greens but I sure wish they tasted more like a buttermilk biscuit
Victoria Vaught: Yeah it isn't fun being anemic for sure, but once my iron levels were evened up again I felt so much better! Even now I know when they are out of whack. But when mine are out again I generally crave red meat.
Emily Beth Rusch: I really haven't felt bad at all fortunately. I wouldn't have even had a suspicion about the anemia if they didn't run a routine complete blood count. maybe I need to pay attention to my body a little more though
Victoria Vaught: It's hard when you are preggers and there is already so much going on. I only found out about mine because I went in for my yearly physical for my health insurance. Some of my fatigue was because my vitamin d and vitamin b levels were extremely low as well.
Emily Rusch: I'm always anemic with pregnancy. Yay for supplements!
Cheri Granger Felipe: You'll get used to shots. Be careful taking iron…
Martha Mooney Granger: is it due to your pregnancy? Or will it last beyond that
Emily Beth Rusch: I think it will only be during my pregnancy and maybe a bit after delivery. My CBC was normal before pregnancy
Martha Mooney Granger: That's good
