Catherine Granger Davis: Put your feet above your heart in bed at night.
Kaolee Hoyle: Whoa! Does it hurt?
Emily Beth Rusch: It doesn't really hurt. When its bad at night my feet feel kinda numb. My first few steps in the morning are kinda painful too but I'm not sure if that is from the swelling or walking on hardwoods or both.
Victoria Vaught: Ask your doctor about a safe diuretic to help with the swelling and avoid salty foods which will make it worse.
Krista Mullins: Yeah I can empathize with you on this one! Sorry friend!
Kristi Yancey: I had that happen. It was pretty miserable. Try cutting down on salt and increase your water intake. Strangely, watermelon helps a lot, but that might be kind of hard to find this time of year. Hang in there! You're in the home stretch.
Krista Mullins: I love putting a cold, wet wash cloth on my swollen feet and yeah drinking tons of water is supposed to help too.
Amy Dupras Granger: Sweetie, your feet are trying to tell you something. A few celery sticks or an orange might help, along with putting your feet up
Shauna Mosher: I've been combating swelling the last few weeks too. The things that have helped the most for me have been to fill the bath with cold water then just stick my feet in for a few minutes. I leave the water in there so in an hour or so I can do it again. Bejean has been really awesome with foot massages too. He squeezes from my toes to my calves and manually pushes the extra fluid up to get it recirculating. This has been the most effective. Good luck Emily! We are on the home stretch!
Emily Rusch: Oh darling. I'm so sorry.
Nyla Love: They look like they hurt! Sooo sorry...12 oz. of lemon water first thing when you get up in the morning helped me.

Swollen Feet

February 23, 2014
My feet are so swollen they almost feel like they are going numb... (I also informed the dr. about the swelling on Wednesday and my blood pressure was normal and they aren't concerned). And I know, I know "stay off your feet" and "prop them up" are the go-to things to do... But there are just too many things to do. How can I nest with my feet up?

Melissa Jensen Allen: Just do it!! You have 5 more weeks right?!!! Don't over do it!!!
Chelsea Johnston: You can draw sketches like me  haha but that's not really getting anything done other than understanding exactly what I want and where I want it.
Chelsea Johnston: Sorry your feet have been so swollen! Have you tried sleeping with your feet propped up a little? Hopefully that way they at least start off normal in the morning? I don't know though; my feet don't get too swollen, but I'm also not running around all day. My feet are the last thing to feel awful before I decide I have to stop. These darn babies of ours! I hope you can figure something out. Sorry your doctor didn't have any advice.
Diane DeVos Marco: Very carefully...
Sunny Green: I know you're probably not wanting to buy anything... but compression stockings help a TON with that.
Michelle Granger Moose: Welcome to motherhood!
Melissa Jensen Allen: I agree with Sunny. I was going to say compression socks! It helps and it really does feel a lot better on. Try it.

Mystery Gift

February 17, 2014
My wonderful friends, I am so excited to have received one of my first gifts this week in preparation for Baby Addison! Unfortunately, this gift did not have any information as to who the sender was. It was selected directly from my registry and Babies' R Us and delivered via FedEx to my house. It is a very adorable baby walker. If you or someone you knew sent this lovely gift, could you please let me know so I can thank you properly? I have not yet tried calling Babies' R Us to investigate but might do that if I don't hear back after this Saturday. Thanks again to whoever you are!

32 Weeks Update

February 1, 2014
32 week update! Sorry it has been forever since I posted anything. For a while I just felt like there was nothing new to talk about. I'll start with the good stuff, I can feel hiccups now! Maybe most would find that annoying but it's just the slightest little movement but is very regular and is faster than my hiccups would be. I feel her move a lot! Braxton hicks are fun to watch as my belly distorts itself with no pain. I am still sleeping all the way through the night which I here is very unusual at this point. I rarely ever get round ligament pain anymore but when I do, it's cuz I pushed myself too hard. Annoying stuff now. Heartburn... Any time, any where, any food. It even wakes me up in the night to where I'm starting to prop myself up more and more. I hate tying my shoes now and will probably just give up in a week. My wedding ring doesn't fit . Not only am I swollen but I feel swollen which I have never felt before now. I really have to put my feet up and not over use my hands. I'm also starting to see it in my face which kills me. My belly button is very flat and gets sore from baby pushing against it and is also have stretch marks galore... Just not on my belly. But that's about it for physical stuff. I am so excited to be only 8 weeks from my due date. I have got several things set up in the baby room and I can't wait to get it all finished! C'mon Addison! We are almost ready!
